Do you have expertise in both pre and post–contract?
Location: Central London
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days from home
Salary: Up to GBP70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a main contractor on a multitude of rail signalling projects. Due to the nature of the work, only candidates with experience of major rail signalling projects for a Tier 1 contractor can be considered for this opportunity.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute QS with strong pre and post–contract experience and a background working with Tier 1 contractors. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, the successful candidate will move beyond basic administration, taking ownership of contract review, subcontractor negotiation, and supplier management, ensuring robust commercial performance across projects.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver all aspects of pre and post–contract commercial management.Undertake contract reviews and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.Oversee procurement and supply chain management.Manage variations, valuations, and cost forecasting.Provide commercial support to project teams and ensure compliance with contractual terms.Assist with claims and dispute resolution where required.
Essential
Experience on major rail signalling projects for a Tier 1 contractor.Confident in contract reviews and subcontractor negotiation.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
