Senior Quality Engineer

Description

We are currently recruiting a Quality Engineer to join an established engineering business based in Newmarket.

The role will focus on ensuring products meet RF, mechanical and regulatory requirements, while investigating issues and improving manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities: -

Plan and carry out internal audits in line with the company's Integrated Management SystemSupport the maintenance and improvement of Quality Management System (QMS) proceduresSupport the customer complaints process, ensuring thorough investigations and timely responsesDevelop and improve test procedures, jigs and fixtures to ensure reliable and repeatable checksChampion continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, process audits and trainingSupport REACH, RoHS and other regulatory compliance activitiesMaintain inspection records, test documentation and reports

About You: -

HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering preferredAlternatively, 5+ years' experience within a similar role or environmentKnowledge of ISO 9001 systems and internal auditingStrong understanding of inspection and testing techniques, particularly FAI reportingProficient with Microsoft Excel and quality data/reporting systemsAble to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider teams

Desirable Experience: -

Experience with RF testing, antenna measurement or similar technical test environmentsKnowledge of structured root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Ishikawa and 5 WhysWorking knowledge of REACH and RoHS compliance
