Senior Fire Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Fire Engineer for a Hertford based company, to carry out routine servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on a range of fire alarm systems. The role is field based, with visits to commercial, residential and construction sites, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

Commission addressable and conventional fire alarm systems in line with current standards and manufacturer requirements. Carry out advanced fault finding on complex systems, identifying root cause and corrective actions. Configure system logic, cause and effect programming, and networked panel arrangements. Produce accurate commissioning documentation and technical reports. You will demonstrate:

Proven experience in commissioning & fault-finding for complex fire alarm systems Strong technical understanding of systems, programming, and diagnostics The ability to mentor, support, and influence other engineers Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and professional communication A proactive, accountable mindset with a commitment to doing the job right first time A qualification in BS7671 Commissioning system experience Employee Benefits
