Senior Civil Engineer Location: LeicesterSalary: Competitive + benefits
We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a leading civil engineering consultancy. You'll take a key role in delivering projects from small highway improvements to large residential and commercial developments.
Role Overview As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will:
Lead the design of highways, junctions, drainage systems, and civil infrastructure.
Work from concept through detailed design, including S278, S38, and S104 agreements.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Liaise with clients, local authorities, contractors, and statutory bodies.
About You Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with 8+ years' post-graduate experience.
Strong experience in highway and junction design, drainage strategies, flood risk assessments.
Skilled in AutoCAD, Civils 3D, 3D modelling, Vehicle Tracking, Flow/Microdrainage.
Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN1/20, NRSWA, and adoption processes.
Excellent communication, time management, and mentoring skills.
Chartered status (CIHT/ICE/CIWEM) or working towards is desirable.
Desirable Experience with public realm, active travel, cycling infrastructure, major highways, utilities coordination, or site supervision.
Ability to produce technical reports and fee proposals.
