Senior CAD Technician

Description

Our client, a specialist organisation within the water and civil engineering sector, is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to support the delivery of infrastructure and utilities projects in Manchester. This contract opportunity offers hybrid working for the right person and is expected to commence in December or January.

Key Responsibilities:

Producing and updating detailed civil engineering drawings using Civil 3D and CAD softwarePreparing technical drawings and plans for water and civil engineering projectsWorking from engineering specifications, surveys and design informationCollaborating with civil engineers, designers and project stakeholders to develop accurate drawingsChecking drawings for accuracy, compliance and consistency with project requirementsMaintaining drawing registers, revisions and associated technical documentationSupporting the delivery of projects from concept through to construction

Job Requirements:

Significant experience as a CAD Technician within the civil engineering or water sectorStrong proficiency in Civil 3D and computer-aided design softwareGood understanding of civil engineering principles, infrastructure design and technical drawing standardsExperience producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings for engineering projectsAbility to interpret engineering designs, specifications and survey informationStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to design documentationExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teamsAvailability to work on a contract basis in Manchester, with hybrid working available for the right individual
