Senior CAD Technician

Description

We are supporting a key client of ours who are currently seeking a Senior Technician (CAD/Highways) to join their team on a contractual basis. This role is integral to the successful delivery of various highway improvement schemes through effective use of Autodesk Civil 3D modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing technical design drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D for highway improvement schemesPreparing contract documents to ensure timely implementation of highway projects within budgetsCollecting, assessing, and disseminating essential information for scheme preparation and implementationPreparing estimates for budget assessment and monitoringCollaborating with contractors, statutory bodies, and other stakeholders to facilitate project deliveryVisiting sites to assist in resolving construction issuesConsidering Health and Safety, as well as sustainability, when identifying design solutions

Job Requirements:

Proficient in the use of CAD and Autodesk Civil 3D for highway improvement schemesExperience in highway design and the preparation of technical design drawingsCompetency in preparing contract documents and budget estimatesAbility to liaise effectively with external contractors and statutory undertakersPossession of a valid driving licence (category B)Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
