Reliability Engineer

Location: Norfolk

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Days)

Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Reliability Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in improving plant performance while working in a fast-paced production environment.

The Role

As a Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, reduce maintenance costs and maximise operational efficiency. Working closely with Engineering, Production and Operations teams, you'll use data and engineering expertise to deliver long-term reliability improvements across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Drive equipment reliability and reduce downtime through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Develop and improve preventative and predictive maintenance strategies. Analyse maintenance and production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Apply predictive maintenance techniques including vibration analysis, thermal imaging and oil analysis. Support continuous improvement projects and long-term engineering initiatives. Assist with capital projects, equipment upgrades and new installations. Promote a strong health and safety culture across the site. About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment. An engineering qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline (or equivalent experience). Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills. Experience of reliability engineering and predictive maintenance techniques. The ability to carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Experience using maintenance or performance data to drive improvements (Power BI experience would be advantageous). A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills. Experience within FMCG, packaging or other high-speed manufacturing environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
