Quantity Surveyor (Main Contractor) - Up to 80K - Luton
Our established and award winning Main Contracting client are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their thriving Commercial Team, reporting into the Commercial Director and working closely with Project, Site and Office Teams, offering an excellent variety of work, career progression and a fantastic working environment.
You will work autonomously across different projects ranging from 1m to 20m, delivering exceptional pre and post contract duties across property sectors including commercial, education, industrial, heritage, blue light and leisure sectors in the public and private sector.
Skills & Experience
Experience of running projects as the commercial lead Experience of procurement of subcontractors Experience of managing multiple, simultaneous subcontract accounts Working knowledge of JCT/NEC forms of contract Experience of producing monthly cost reporting/CVRs Ability to communicate confidently with both external and internal teams A pragmatic approach to finding practical solutions Articulate and precise in all communications, both written and verbal Keeps up to date with current legislation, regulations and codes of practice Excellent organisational skills, able to manage the commercial areas of the project from inception to completion. Qualifications & Requirements
HND or degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying (or other commercially related discipline). Minimum 5 years' similar experience with a Main Contractor Well-presented and of smart appearance Computer literate in all Microsoft Office products
