Quality Inspector

Actio Engineering recruitment are assisting one of our Lancashire based engineering client with their search for a Quality Inspector.

The Client

This busy company specialise in precision engineering components for the Automotive and aerospace ndustry

Main Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Quality Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the conformity of products along the build journey through to final inspection identifying trends and conformity patterns and improving manufacturing process along side the Quality Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Detailed inspection of all CNC milled, turned and assembled parts using manual measuring equipment as well as CMM

• Inspect components to conform with engineering drawings

• Utilise appropriate measuring techniques

• Working with suppliers to overcome technical issues

• Route cause analysis of non conformity

• Reporting inspection findings and documentation

• Checking stock conforms to required parameters

• Calibration of equipment

Skills & Experience Required:

• Ability to read technical drawings

• Experience using CMM, verniers, micrometres, bore micrometers, height gauges,

• Capable of parts inspection

• Basic Report writing

• Adaptability and ability to work in a fast paced environment

• Continuous improvement experience
