Description
Shorterm Group are recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a high-precision engineering and manufacturing business in Kidderminster. The role focuses on ensuring product quality throughout the production process, with strong involvement in CMM inspection, FAIRs and hands-on measurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete FAIRs and carry out product conformity inspections.
- Operate, program and troubleshoot CMM equipment.
- Perform manual inspection using micrometers, height gauges, shadowgraph etc.
- Support non-conformance investigations and internal audits.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve quality processes.
Experience Required
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Previous experience in quality inspection within manufacturing/engineering.
- Confident with CMM operation
- Experience with Camio software is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings and use inspection equipment.
Understanding of basic root cause analysis tools.
Desirable:
- Aerospace/AS9100 experience, HNC, PPAP/APQP knowledge, internal auditor training.
