Description

A leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Manchester.

Responsibilities of Project Manager:

Produce financial forecasts, monitor and control project costs, and deliver monthly performance reports Deliver projects from design phase through to completion, including all handover documentation Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, framework suppliers, and design consultants Develop and maintain construction programmes, coordinating site investigations throughout Ensure production of Project Plans, risk assessments, method statements, and procurement processes Maintain commercial tension, prepare estimates for additional works, and support new tender submissions Set the highest standards of HS&E leadership, ensuring compliance with procedures, legal obligations, and subcontractor compliance Liaise with third parties to ensure compliance with HSG47, HAUC, NRSWA, Chapter 8, and other regulatory standards Manage and produce ITPs, maintain the QA File, and ensure as-builts and O&M manuals are submitted on completion Essential Requirements for Project Manager:

Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent CSCS Manager's Card, SMSTS, TWC, Appointed Person, and NEBOSH Construction Certificate Good working knowledge of CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control Knowledge of NEC contract including Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms Proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills Proven experience delivering water and utilities projects, specifically shaft sinking and deep drainage Desirable:

CEng MICE Knowledge of JCT form of contract
