Description

Project Manager - Rail Systems

Location: Melksham, UK

Position: Full-time

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of large-scale rail systems projects. You will take projects from initiation through to completion, managing technical, commercial, and stakeholder aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate project teams and stakeholders. Manage client relationships and expectations throughout the project. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements. Plan, implement, and track project tasks, timelines, and budgets. Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and manage project risks. Provide regular updates to senior management. Maximise opportunities through project change management processes. Requirements:

Degree in engineering or technical discipline. Proven experience managing large-scale technical projects, preferably in rail systems. Commercial and contract management experience. Strong knowledge of project management methods (Prince2 or APM certification preferred). Skilled in risk management, strategic planning, and change management. Experience managing teams and projects on customer sites is an advantage. Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe. Skills and Competencies:

Critical thinking and problem-solving. Strong communication, influencing, and leadership skills. Planning, organising, and decision-making. Negotiation, conflict management, and adaptability. Ability to develop full-scale project plans and delegate effectively.
