Senior Project Engineer and Project Engineer

Additional Details:

Location: Birmingham area

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months

Hours: 40 per week

Rate: Competitive market rates

Are you an experienced MEP (Mechanical/Electrical) Project Engineer looking to play a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects?

Our client, a leading organisation within the infrastructure sector, is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of critical building services across complex engineering assets, including tunnel portal buildings and pumping stations.

What You'll Be Doing:

Oversee and verify the contractor's design assurance activities for building services across multiple sites

Ensure the integration and certification of systems including:

Lighting

Electrical

Mechanical

HVAC

Power

Fire safety

Provide oversight during the design phase, ensuring compliance, quality, and technical standards are met

Work closely with internal teams to support upfront design verification and assurance processes

Be primarily based on-site in Birmingham, with occasional travel as required

What You'll Bring:

Proven experience in MEP / building services assurance within large-scale infrastructure projects

Strong understanding of:

Contractor design verification

Systems integration

Certification processes

Ability to manage and coordinate multiple technical sub-systems

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset

Flexibility to work full-time, with at least 3 days per week on-site in Birmingham
