Description
A growing manufacturing business in Exeter is looking for a hands-on Production Engineer who wants to be close to the action, not stuck behind a desk.
If you enjoy improving how things are made, getting onto the shop floor, and seeing the impact of your work, this one s worth a look.
What you ll be doing
This is a practical role supporting fabrication and assembly operations, working closely with production and the wider engineering team.
You ll be:
Driving continuous improvement across quality, throughput, and efficiency Getting involved in new product introduction, making sure designs work in production Supporting day-to-day manufacturing challenges on the shop floor Reviewing processes and implementing better ways of working Creating and improving production documentation and instructions Working with suppliers and internal teams to keep things running smoothly It s a mix of problem-solving, improvement work, and hands-on support, not just theory.
What they re looking for
HNC / HND (or similar) in Engineering Experience within manufacturing or production engineering Background in sheet metal / fabrication Strong understanding of quality and improvement tools (DFMEA / PFMEA etc.) Someone practical, proactive, and comfortable working across teams Why this role?
