Precision Machining Technician

Location: Taunton, UK

Salary: 13.41- 14.41 p/h

Hours: 35 hours per week, standard day shifts

We are currently recruiting for a Precision Machining Technician to join a specialist manufacturing environment, producing high-quality precision components.

The role will involve mounting, machining, cleaning and inspecting components, following engineering drawings and work instructions and working to high Health & Safety and COSHH standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out machining and associated production processes Mount and prepare components for machining Clean and finish precision components Inspect and check completed work Follow engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions Operate production and machining equipment safely Maintain high standards of quality, Health & Safety and COSHH compliance Work effectively as part of a small production team Requirements:

Previous machining or machine shop experience preferred Engineering qualification at Level 2 or 3 preferred Experience with CNC, milling, turning, grinding or similar machining processes would be advantageous Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions Good attention to detail and a methodical approach Recent engineering graduates/apprentices and candidates coming out of college will also be considered This is a great opportunity for an experienced machinist or an early-career engineering candidate looking to develop their skills within a specialist precision manufacturing environment.
