Ensure production targets, schedules and customer delivery requirements are achieved. Plan and coordinate labour, materials and resources according to production requirements. Monitor departmental performance against agreed KPIs and production targets. Drive productivity, efficiency and operational performance. Maintain high standards of product quality and workmanship. Ensure Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices are consistently followed. Identify production issues, bottlenecks and resource constraints and implement appropriate solutions. Work closely with other Production Managers and departments to maintain effective production flow. Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Stores, Planning and other operational functions where required. Develop team capability through coaching, training and performance management. Manage absence, conduct, performance and other day-to-day people-management responsibilities. Promote a positive, accountable and performance-driven working environment. Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation. Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, quality and efficiency. Ensure departmental standards, procedures and company policies are maintained.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

We are interested in speaking with experienced managers from a broad range of engineering and manufacturing backgrounds, ready to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidates will ideally demonstrate:

Proven management or senior supervisory experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong people-management and leadership capability. Experience managing production teams within a busy manufacturing operation. Good understanding of manufacturing and production processes relevant to one or more of the available departments. Experience working to production schedules, targets and deadlines. Strong understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment. Good understanding of manufacturing quality requirements. Ability to manage people, resources and competing production priorities. Experience monitoring and improving operational performance. Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability. Ability to identify production issues and implement practical solutions. Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Experience driving continuous improvement, productivity or process improvements would be advantageous.
