Position: Pipefitter Welder

Location: Bristol

Rate: 33.00 – 38.00 per hour (CIS)

My client is a well–established mechanical engineering contractor specialising in the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial steam, process pipework and mechanical systems across a wide range of industrial sectors. They are looking to recruit an experienced Pipefitter Welder to join their team on a self–employed CIS basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both pipefitting and pipe welding, be confident working from engineering drawings, and have experience installing carbon steel and stainless–steel pipework within industrial environments.

Pipefitter Welder Position Overview

Installation and fabrication of carbon steel and stainless–steel pipeworkPipefitting duties including measuring, cutting, aligning and assembling pipe systemsTIG and MMA welding of process and steam pipework to a high standardInstallation of flanged, threaded and welded pipe systemsWorking on steam systems, plant rooms, boiler houses and other industrial mechanical installationsReading and interpreting engineering drawings and isometric drawingsCarrying out site installation, maintenance and shutdown works across customer sitesWorking safely in accordance with site health & safety procedures

Pipefitter Welder Position Requirements

Previous experience as a Pipefitter Welder within industrial or mechanical engineering environmentsCompetent in both pipefitting and pipe weldingExperience welding carbon steel and stainless–steel pipework using TIG and MMA processesAbility to read and work from engineering and isometric drawingsExperience with steam, process or mechanical services pipework is highly advantageousWelding qualifications such as BS EN ISO 9606 or ASME IX would be beneficialCSCS card and IPAF/PASMA advantageous but not essentialFull UK Driving LicenceBased within a commutable distance of Bristol

Pipefitter Welder Position Remuneration
