Electrical Panel Wirer Salary: up to 35k Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Panel Wirer to join an established engineering and manufacturing business.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced professional who can confidently work from electrical and manufacturing drawings and complete panel wiring and assembly to a high standard. You will need to be able to hit the ground running, with previous relevant experience essential.

The Role

Working as part of the workshop team, you will be responsible for the wiring, assembly and fitting of industrial electrical equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Wiring and fitting switchgear, switchboards and distribution boardsWiring and fitting electrical componentsPanel wiring and assemblyPLC wiringFitting and installing copper busbarsWorking accurately from manufacturing and electrical drawingsMeasuring and marking out accurately to drawingsUsing a range of hand and power toolsOffloading and moving panels into position within the workshopMaintaining a clean, tidy and organised workshop environmentEnsuring all work is completed safely, accurately and to the required quality standards

About You

Previous experience in electrical panel wiring is essential. We are looking for someone who is already competent in this type of work and can work with minimal supervision.

You will need:

Proven experience in panel wiring or a closely related electrical assembly roleExperience wiring switchgear, panels, distribution boards or similar equipmentThe ability to read and interpret manufacturing and electrical drawingsExcellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship - essentialThe ability to accurately measure and mark out to manufacturing drawingsGood practical skills and confidence using hand and power toolsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamA full UK driving licence - essential

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a practical and experienced electrical assembler/panel wirer who understands the importance of accuracy, quality and safe working practices.

You should be confident working on your own, able to interpret drawings without extensive supervision and capable of identifying and resolving routine issues as they arise.

This is not a trainee position. Previous hands-on panel wiring experience is essential, and candidates will be expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of the work involved.
