Office Manager

We are currently seeking an Office Manager with engineering sector experience to support our client based in Bolton in a permanent staff role. This is a full time 37 hours per week role with hours condensed into 4 days giving Fridays off. - Full-time, Monday to Thursday (37 hours per week)

- GBP48,000 GBP52,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus package including life assurance, healthcare package and other standard benefits

We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to manage and develop order intake, resource availability and utilisation, quality system, profit margin and product output of the business unit. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where you can make a real impact on performance, efficiency, and quality.

The Role

As Office Manager, you ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations - managing order intake, resource planning, and ensuring quality, profitability, and timely delivery. You ll also play a key role in driving growth and continuous improvement across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and coordinating order intake, delivery targets, and profit margins

• Managing and motivating a small operational team

• Maintaining and improving quality standards in line with ISO9000

• Monitoring timekeeping, attendance, and performance

• Ensuring safe working practices and a tidy working environment

• Liaising with customers to meet quality, delivery, and communication expectations

• Supporting business growth and efficiency initiatives

About You

You ll bring strong organisational and people management skills, along with a sound understanding of operational processes within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Essential:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar industry

• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Good understanding of profitability and general business management

Desirable:

• Experience in a similar management role (minimum 2 years)

• Good IT skills

• Proactive, adaptable, and determined approach
