The Role

An established manufacturing business is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a high-volume production site in Tamworth. Working weekend night shifts, you will support the Maintenance Manager in delivering reliable electrical and mechanical maintenance across plant, equipment, and site installations, ensuring maximum uptime and compliance with quality and safety standards.

What will you be doing

Providing both electrical and mechanical fault-finding, repair, and maintenance support

Responding to plant breakdowns efficiently, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions

Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance activities

Accurately recording all work and actions on the maintenance management system

Communicating effectively with production, operational teams, and management

Maintaining safe systems of work and ensuring site safety standards are met at all times

Supporting manufacturing priorities by minimising downtime and improving equipment reliability

Taking responsibility for your own development, including keeping up to date with legislation and best practices

What will you bring to the party

Recognised electrical and mechanical engineering qualifications (essential)

Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment

Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems

A methodical, detail-focused approach with accurate record-keeping skills

An investigative mindset with the ability to work independently during night shifts

A flexible, can-do attitude and a commitment to high standards of workmanship

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
