The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of production machinery through planned preventative maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns. Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will help maximise plant uptime while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production machinery.Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.Fault find on PLC-controlled machinery.Work on conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.Support continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and efficiency.Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.Accurately complete maintenance documentation using the CMMS.

The Ideal Candidate

Apprentice trained or hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.Multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or production environment.Confident fault finding on automated machinery.Knowledge of PLC fault finding would be advantageous.Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
