We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a skilled Engineering team within Food Manufacturing , based in East London / Essex. This role involves ensuring smooth operations and maintenance of equipment and new installations, while contributing to the overall success of the engineering and manufacturing department.

Description

Perform routine maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to ensure optimum performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults effectively. Implement planned preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Provide support during equipment installations and upgrades. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimise disruptions. This is a shift based role; 4 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off, 3 on 4 off, repeat.

Profile

A successful Multi-Skilled Engineer should have:

Proven expertise in both mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing, ideally high volume, low value environments. The ability to 'hit the ground running' in a dynamic and super fast pace FMCG manufacturing enticement. Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in engineering or manufacturing. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Good understanding of health and safety practices in an engineering environment. Experience with maintaining and repairing a range of equipment and machinery. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues effectively. Can work on a rotating 12 Hour Day Shift schedule (4 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off, 3 on 4 off, repeat).
