Salary: GBP40,000 per annum

About the Company:

We are working with a global technology manufacturer known for precision and quality. Their Norwich site is home to a team of technical specialists supporting high-level calibration and measurement activities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team that values accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The Role:

As a Metrology Engineer, you will support accredited calibrations for both new and existing products. You ll work closely with a team of engineers and metrologists to ensure measurement systems deliver accurate, reliable, and consistent results. This role contributes to ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, calibration process improvement, and technical support for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Support accredited calibrations and review measurement system results. Develop and perform calibration methods under guidance from senior metrologists. Conduct uncertainty analyses and maintain statistical process controls. Maintain documentation and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards. Assist with design and improvement of automated test and measurement systems. Provide technical support to colleagues and customers. Drive continuous improvement of calibration processes and quality systems. Skills and Experience Required:

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience. Experience in metrology or calibration within an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory. Knowledge of programming for test automation or data analysis (e.g., MET/CAL, C#, VB, Java, Python). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
