Aeropeople have partnered with a global designer and manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices who are now looking to hire a permanent Mechanical Technician, to be based at their site in Stansted. The successful candidate would be expected to be on site 5 days per week.

As a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices they offer specialised services for more than 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear and safety equipment s.

This role is working a 39 hour week. Hours of work are Monday- Thursday: 8am- 4.30pm and Friday: 8am- 4pm.

Main Responsibilities:

Disassemble, test, fault find and repair various safety equipment for slides, rafts and their sub components. Reassemble a variety of safety equipment, slides, rafts and their sub components in accordance with CMM s / OHM s and OEM packing instructions.

About You:

Numerate and literate minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English OEM training in maintenance and overhaul of safety equipment (highly desirable) Experience of repairing and packing aircraft safety equipment (highly desirable). Previous experience of working in an engineering/ workshop environment (highly desirable) Prior experience of interpreting and following in detail compliance manuals. Working within a small team of skilled fitters, reliability, flexibility and team work are key skill requirements. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build close-knit relationships Strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multi task whilst maintaining a high degree of quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations. Strong communicator (written and verbal) Positive, enthusiastic, confident and motivated
