Description

Water Services Supervisor (SAP) - Healthcare

Location: Healthcare Estate

Monday to Friday

We are recruiting for an experienced Water Services Supervisor (SAP) to lead water safety, water hygiene and compliance activities across a busy healthcare environment.

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the site's water management programme, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidance, and driving high standards of safety, governance and operational performance. Working closely with engineering teams, specialist contractors and senior stakeholders, you will provide technical leadership while overseeing the day-to-day delivery of water hygiene services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of Water Technicians and specialist contractors. Act as the site's SAP, providing technical guidance on water safety and compliance matters. Ensure compliance with HTM 04-01, ACOP L8, HSG274 and SFG20 requirements. Manage water safety plans, risk assessments, written schemes and monitoring programmes. Oversee planned and reactive water hygiene activities, ensuring all compliance tasks are completed on time. Conduct audits, inspections and investigations, implementing corrective actions where required. Maintain accurate compliance records, reports and performance data. Support project work, commissioning activities and emergency response planning. Requirements

Mechanical, Plumbing or Water Treatment qualification (Level 3 preferred). Strong working knowledge of water hygiene legislation and healthcare compliance standards. Experience managing water systems within healthcare, critical environments or large complex estates. Previous supervisory or leadership experience. Experience working with digital compliance management systems. Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a water compliance professional looking to take ownership of a critical service and progress within a large and complex operational environment.
