An expanding engineering manufacturer, known for producing precision-engineered solutions for high-performance applications, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to strengthen its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to drive reliability initiatives, resolve product issues, and influence long-term design and manufacturing improvements. Based in the Birmingham area, the role offers a salary around 45,000+, 33 days annual leave, flexible working hours, and excellent development potential.

Mechanical Engineer responsibilities include -

Leading reliability reviews across product design, manufacturing, and customer applications.Driving root cause investigations and 8D reporting for reliability and field performance issues.Managing FMEA processes to identify risks and embed lessons learned.Coordinating cross-functional actions with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.Developing and tracking reliability metrics, reporting on risks, actions, and closure status.Engaging with customers through reports, presentations, and on-site technical meetings.Mechanical Engineer desirable skills and experience -

Experience working within a similar role (Product Engineer, Reliability Engineer etc).Proven background in 8D methodology, FMEA and continuous improvement.Confidence working with customers and cross-functional teams.Mechanical engineering education (HNC/HNC) or relevant training.Mechanical Engineer benefits include -
