Description
My client has over 35 years industry experience and an exceptional reputation for designing, manufacturing, and delivering bespoke automated manufacturing, processing, and packing solutions to a range of industry sectors.
As the Mechanical Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical design team. The role involves managing a small team of 4 mechanical design engineers (approximately 75% management) while also contributing directly to mechanical design tasks (25%). The ideal candidate will have experience managing workflows, running weekly design reviews, budget control and checking designs.
What we would like from the Mechanical Design Manager:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldProven experience in mechanical design within automation, mechatronics, or related industriesPrior leadership or managerial experience, preferably in a small team settingProficiency with Inventor or other 3D CAD softwareStrong understanding of mechanical materials, manufacturing processes, and design for reliabilityKnowledge of pneumatics and control systemsKnowledge of relevant standards and safety regulations
What we offer the Mechanical Design Manager:
Salary up to GBP65,000 doe25 days annual leaveCompany pension37.5 hours week (8am till 4.30pm Mon to Thurs and 8am till 1.30pm Friday)
