An exciting opportunity to work for a bespoke machinery manufacturer who are seeking enthusiastic engineers who they can further develop.

This is a challenging, and interesting role in an innovative company delivering engineered solutions to customers both UK based and globally.

You will join a well-established team, working on high value, bespoke heavy engineering solutions.

The day to day role of Mechanical Design Engineer will include:

Reporting into the design lead working on segments of large mechanical designs for automated special purpose machinery Daily problem solving and dealing with design issuesUndertaking and ensuring mechanical and material calculations Producing 2D and 3D drawings in inventorEnsuring specifications and quality standards Producing and ensuring the quality of all mechanical BOM's Working in conjunction with the electrical and software teams to achieve excellent system integration Creation of parts, assembly, and identification drawings Supporting the shop floor with build problems

The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will be:

Passionate about mechanical design, practical with excellent problem solving abilities A confident user of 3D Auto Desk inventor with vault experience Have some knowledge of system integrationHave previous design experience in sheet metal, welding, fabrication and large industrial machinery design Have confident knowledge of design for manufacture Your own transport is essential due to location The company are a successful SME who care about the people who work for them and offer excellent opportunities for training and progression.
