Join a World Class Manufacturing Team in Peterborough

Are you a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Do you enjoy fault finding, improving equipment reliability, and helping to keep world-class production lines running at peak performance?

At Crown, we're not just producing cans, we're creating world-class products through innovation, precision, and teamwork. With over 130 years of global success, operations across 39 countries, and a reputation for manufacturing excellence, we offer the stability of a global leader combined with the energy and ambition of a high-performing and growing site.

Our Peterborough facility has rapidly established itself as one of the best-performing plants within the Crown network. As we continue to invest in our people and operations, we're looking for a talented Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team.

The Opportunity

Working on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern covering days and nights, you'll play a key role in supporting production by ensuring mechanical breakdowns are quickly diagnosed, repaired, and prevented from reoccurring.

As part of our Engineering team, you'll work across a wide range of manufacturing equipment, taking both a proactive and reactive approach to maintenance. You'll carry out fault finding, identify root causes of equipment failures, and implement corrective actions that improve reliability and performance.

You will support our Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programme through effective use of our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring preventative maintenance activities are completed to a high standard. You'll also provide recommendations for equipment improvements and reliability enhancements that contribute to overall plant performance.

A key element of the role involves the manufacture, repair, and modification of engineering components. You'll utilise a range of workshop equipment and techniques including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, fabrication, and welding processes to re-engineer or reverse engineer components where required.

Working closely with Production, Continuous Improvement teams, and fellow Engineers, you'll help deliver safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
