Description

Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled) GBP50,000, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, 4 on 4 off DAYS, 6am till 6pm 42 average hours a week.

Overtime available at X1.5, holiday equivalent to 23 shifts off, 6% matched pension, X4 years death in service.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled) to join one of the world s leading vertically integrated producers, marketers and distributors of high-quality fresh and fresh-cut fruit, vegetables, juices, beverages, snacks and desserts in over 100 countries worldwide large, well-invested site. With a turnover of over GBP100 million in the UK, this company has massive growth plans; on top of the 16 lines, in the 24/7 site they currently have in place. The Wisbech site is a high-performing facility with state-of-the-art machinery and an experienced engineering team.

The Role

As a maintenance engineer, you ll work with a range of machinery including:

Large mixers, dicers and slicersBaggers, metal detectors and palletisers Your focus will be 70% reactive and 30% PPM, using a tablet system for job tracking. This role places a strong emphasis on both electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair. You ll need to be confident working with pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, chains, sensors, and control panels etc. Experience fault finding via PLC is also needed.

The Person We re Looking For

To succeed in this role as a maintenance engineer, you ll need:

A strong background in maintenance within manufacturing environmentsExperience working on both mechanical and electrical components whilst abiding to H&S regulationsConfidence with strip-downs, rebuilds, and reactive maintenanceAn NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in engineeringA proactive attitude and potential flexibility for overtime and development This is an ideal role for a maintenance engineer who wants to develop their career in a stable, well-backed facility with real progression and training opportunities. Due to an additional site opening in 2027 right next to this existing site in Wisbech.
