Description
Our client within FMCG is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team at their site near Leeds. This role is ideal for an engineer with both electrical and mechanical expertise who is looking to support site maintenance, improve reliability, and contribute to ongoing engineering projects.
Maintenance Engineer
Location - Leeds
Shift Pattern - 3 week, days and nights shift rotation with most weekends off. (40 hours)
Salary - 46,194 per annum
Responsibilities
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, including reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Carry out machine setups to support production and ensure safe, compliant working practices. Complete maintenance records and documentation and assist with wider site engineering projects. Manage engineering stores, order spare parts, and oversee contractor activities. Collaborate with production, quality, and site management teams to ensure smooth operations. Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of health & safety and food-industry compliance. Requirements:
Formal Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification - Level 3 NVQ as a minimum Experience in a similar role such as (multi skilled engineer, shift engineer, shift technician, engineering technician, electrical maintenance engineer) Knowledge of FMCG processes and experience working to GMP standards.
