Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer

Location: Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire

Salary: 53,000 + Benefits + Overtime Available

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Afternoons (No Nights)

The Opportunity

Our client, a successful and expanding manufacturing business based in Grimsby, is looking to recruit an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to strengthen their engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment, whilst benefiting from a shift pattern that does not include night working.

Key Responsibilities

As an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all production and site equipment. Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise production downtime. Supporting mechanical maintenance activities where required. Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery and automated equipment. Responding quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns. Assisting with continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports. Supporting machinery installations, upgrades and commissioning projects. Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental procedures. What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience working within a manufacturing, FMCG, food production, packaging or industrial environment. Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills. Experience with PLCs, drives, motors, sensors and control systems. A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. A good understanding of preventative maintenance systems. The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. What's on Offer?
