Description

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a very successful plastic manufacturer in our in-house maintenance department. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of systems across our busy manufacturing facility running 20 extrusion machines, vacuum pumps, haul offs and an array of saws.

You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within the company. You will be offering essential maintenance to equipment and the facilities infrastructure with emphasis on the electrical elements.

This position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.

The ideal candidate will:

Be electrically certified to UK standards and confident working across both electrical and mechanical systems Have knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems and PLCs Work to schedules to perform planned preventative maintenance Find faults and perform reactive maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment Plan, monitor and manage outside use of contractors for specialised maintenance requirements Re-locate and install equipment as required Comply with Health & Safety responsibilities and company procedures at all times Keep accurate, clear and concise records Be proactive, hands-on and seek continuous improvement. Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds or Level 3 NVQ) Apprenticeship trained or equivalent practical experience Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

HNC/HND in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering PLC fault finding and programming experience
