Maintenance Engineer

My client, a successful manufacturing business is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for the opportunity to join a growing company who values and rewards employee contribution. With a strong Mechanical/Electrical background you will be capable of resolving planned and unplanned maintenance tasks to drive efficiency and minimise downtime. This role has no shifts.

Key Duties:

Carry out routine and unplanned maintenance work and respond to equipment faults; Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and machinery and arrange procurement Of fixtures, fittings and components as required; Conduct quality inspections on jobs; Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment; Monitor and control maintenance costs; Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs; Work closely with Senior Management to improve health and safety policies and procedures; Work as part of a team to ensure the continuous flow of production and operations; Criteria:

A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Time served in either discipline; A minimum of 3 years hands on experience as a Maintenance Engineer working with either Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatics machinery Able to read electrical drawings Knowledge of CNC, PC and PLC controlled systems; Capable of working on own initiative and unsupervised with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks; Excellent team player who is flexible to work additional hours to meet the needs of the business.
