IT Project Engineer

Description

Location: Remote - 1-2 days in the office in Fareham (with travel to customer sites across the UK)

Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP55,000

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join a busy projects team delivering infrastructure and networking solutions for customers across the UK.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in the full project lifecycle, from initial customer meetings and technical design through to implementation, testing and final handover. You'll work with a broad range of technologies across server, storage, networking, wireless and security environments.

The role is predominantly remote, although regular travel to customer sites will be required for project work.

What you'll be doing

Delivering IT infrastructure projects on-site and remotelyInstalling and configuring servers, virtualisation platforms, networking and security solutionsCarrying out technical audits and customer site surveysProducing technical documentation and solution designsSupporting pre-sales activities and providing technical input during customer discussionsProviding third-line support and technical escalation when requiredWorking closely with customers to ensure successful project deliveryWhat we're looking for

Strong experience delivering infrastructure projectsGood knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper-V and SCCMActive Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy administrationExperience with backup and disaster recovery solutionsStrong networking knowledge, including switching, wireless and network securityExperience configuring and troubleshooting firewallsAbility to produce technical documentation and implement complex solutionsExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsFull UK Driving LicenceNice to have
