Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

We are working with our client who is a Tier 1 main contractor, with a strong reputation in data centres, life sciences, commercial, and infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, to recruit an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor.

This role sits on one of the largest data centre developments in the UK - a c. 10 billion hyperscale campus in Blyth, delivering up to 10 data centre buildings across a 100-hectare site.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of monthly, interim, and final valuations, applications for payment, and cost reconciliations for contracts, sub-contractors, specialists, and suppliersSupport the ongoing review of cash flow and contract positionsAssist with the procurement of sub-contract packages, working closely with the Procurement ManagerCarry out take-offs and measurement of works to support the Estimating, Procurement, and Planning departmentsSupport the preparation of contract final accounts for completed sections of the worksAssist in the examination of contract documents and help identify any anomaliesRecord and track details relating to contractual delays and variationsWork closely with, and receive guidance from, senior members of the commercial team to develop technical and contractual knowledgeRequirements

3-5 years' experience as a Quantity SurveyorExperience with a main contractor advantageousPrevious project experience on major construction, data centre, or industrial projects a plusWorking towards chartership (RICS/SCSI or equivalent) desirableStrong interpersonal and communication skillsGood IT skillsUnderstanding of NEC forms of contracting desirableBenefits
