HV Technician

Description

Our client is seeking an HV Technician to join its permanent Energy Transmission and Distribution team as an HV Technician. This UK–wide role will involve electrical installation, maintenance and operational support across high–voltage infrastructure, including 11kV, 33kV and 132kV systems, as well as utility–scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and testing activities across energy and T&D projectsWorking safely on 11kV, 33kV and 132kV electrical systemsSupporting construction and operations and maintenance activities on utility–scale Solar PV and BESS systemsInterpreting electrical drawings, technical documentation and project specificationsIdentifying faults and completing effective diagnostic and remedial workMaintaining accurate records and ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and industry standardsCollaborating with project teams, site personnel and clients across locations throughout the UK

Job Requirements:

Approved Electrician status with suitable electrical installation or electrical engineering qualifications18th Edition, Test & inspect, Level 3 in Electrical InstallationSHEA PowerExperience working with HV systems (11kv/33kv)Experience in utility–scale Solar PV construction or operations and maintenanceUnderstanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems and associated electrical infrastructureStrong knowledge of electrical health and safety proceduresAbility to work across UK–wide sites and travel as requiredReliable, methodical and committed to delivering high–quality electrical work
