This role would suit someone from an Engineering Manager or senior engineering leadership background who is looking to step into a broader, more influential position within an OEM environment. You will enjoy taking ownership of engineering strategy while remaining closely involved in day-to-day technical decision-making, team leadership and continuous improvement, with a clear pathway to Engineering Director as the business continues to grow.

The Role:

Lead and develop the Engineering Department, setting technical standards and directionDrive innovation and the adoption of new technologies to improve safety, cost and performanceOversee the design, development and continuous improvement of bespoke machineryEnsure all designs meet CE, UL and UKCA compliance requirementsSupervise the creation of technical documentation, risk assessments and design FMEAManage and support customer-facing engineering activities including service, spares, installation and commissioningMotivate and manage engineering teams through effective leadership and communicationPlay a key role in long-term engineering strategy and succession planningThe Person:

Senior Engineering Manager / Head of Engineering backgroundDegree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringExperience within an OEM design and manufacturing environmentExperience delivering complex capital equipment projects, ideally to international customersReference: BBBH 23251
