A forward-thinking building consultancy is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer to join their specialist team.

This Graduate Fire Engineer role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative, sustainable building design while developing technical expertise within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The Graduate Fire Engineer's Role

The Graduate Fire Engineer will support the delivery of fire engineering solutions from early design through to project completion. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with fire strategy development for a variety of building typesSupporting CFD modelling, smoke movement analysis, and evacuation modellingProducing calculations, sketches, diagrams, and fire strategy reportsWorking closely with architects, structural engineers, and wider design teamsIdentifying potential fire safety challenges and supporting mitigation strategiesAssisting in the review of designs against UK Building Regulations and industry standardsParticipating in design meetings and workshops alongside senior engineersUsing engineering software and digital tools to support technical deliveryContributing to data collection, analysis, and documentation for projectsDelivering tasks in line with agreed deadlines, budgets, and quality expectationsThe Graduate Fire Engineer

The ideal Graduate Fire Engineer will be motivated to build a long-term career within fire engineering and demonstrate strong technical foundations.

Key requirements:

Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent) in Fire Engineering or a related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering)A Master's degree in Fire Engineering or similar is advantageousStrong numerical and analytical skillsClear written and verbal communication abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple tasks and adapt within a fast-paced environmentA genuine interest in fire engineering and the built environmentIn Return?
