Geo-Environmental Consultant

Location: South East England

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geo-Environmental Consultant to join a growing and forward-thinking environmental team. The role will support upcoming projects for a diverse portfolio of external clients, contributing to the delivery of high-quality environmental and ground investigation services.

You'll play a key role in helping to grow the business area and will be responsible for undertaking a range of land and ground investigation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site walkovers and prepare Phase I Desk StudiesSupervise ground investigations, including trial pitting, window sampling, and cable percussion drillingLog samples to BS5930 standards and prepare engineers' logs using specialist softwareCarry out gas and groundwater monitoring, including sampling and validation samplingPrepare Certificates of Conformance (CoC) for contaminated land and geotechnical investigationsAssist in the preparation of technical reports, including Generic Risk Assessments and Ground Investigation ReportsSupport internal project management and resourcing activities in line with experience and capabilityImplement and manage quality and safety procedures for all geo-environmental operationsContribute to the development and management of team members in alignment with company values and best practicesSkills and Experience:

Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related disciplineStrong understanding of the ground investigation and geo-environmental sector, including equipment, specifications, and contract proceduresProven experience producing geotechnical and geo-environmental interpretative reports based on factual data and test resultsSound knowledge of UK legislation and guidance relating to contaminated land and geotechnical engineeringSSSTS and CSCS card desirableFull UK driving licence requiredWhat's on Offer
