IT Field Service EngineerLocation: High Wycombe (Field Based)Salary: GBP35,000 to GBP40,000 + VanHours: Full-time, extensive travel required

About the Role A well?established technology solutions provider is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its growing technical team. This position is a mix of inhouse support but with a lot of field based work and so ideal for someone who thrives on being on the road, enjoys hands?on technical work, and is comfortable spending regular time away from home where required You'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting a range of specialist electronic and IT?based equipment at customer sites across the UK. Full training on all industry?specific systems will be provided but you should have good networking, MS SQL and Software Integration skills. This position suits someone who is adaptable, practical, and enjoys a varied schedule with regular travel.

Key Responsibilities

Some 1 and 2 Line remote support - responding to customer's technical issues via email and phone in line with SLAsField Service Work at customer sites across the UKInstall, configure, and support specialist IT?driven equipment at customer locationsDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issuesPerform routine maintenance, calibration, and system checks for specialist equipment - training provided.Provide clear technical guidance to end usersMaintain accurate service reports and documentationAttend national events, exhibitions, and customer demonstrations (including some weekends)Travel extensively across the UK, often requiring overnight staysWhat We're Looking For

Strong IT hardware and software troubleshooting skillsStrong networking, MS SQL and Software IntegrationExperience in a field service, technical support, or hands?on engineering roleFull UK Driving Licence - essentialWilling to learn new equipment (non IT but working with IT)Confident working independently at customer sitesComfortable with regular travel and staying away from homeWilling to work occasional weekends for events or installationsExcellent communication and customer?facing skillsDesirable Experience
