Job Role: Field Service Engineer (Heavy Plant)

Location: Reading, Berkshire

Salary: GBP38,000 GBP42,000 base salary + paid door to door (OTE GBP45,000 GBP50,000+)

Hours: Monday Friday 07 00 (flexible hours) + Company Vehicle/Fuel Card +

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Package:

Door to door paid with all travel time and expenses paid for32 days annual leave (including bank holidays)Employer pension contribution at 4%Call out rota from October to March (1 in 4/5 weeks on call) - GBP145 call out allowance + additional GBP125 per Bank Holiday on callOccasional overnight stays required with accommodation and food paid for (GBP25 per night) + occasional trips abroadLife Assurance and Health Care SchemeCompany van, fuel card, mobile phone, and laptop providedSalary Sacrifice Scheme for an additional 5 days annual leaveFull training and development with clear progression routes The Responsibilities:

Attend customer sites to carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on specialist plant and municipal equipmentIdentify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults efficientlyPerform routine maintenance and safety inspections to ensure equipment reliabilityProvide technical advice and support to customers on equipment usage and upkeepMaintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completedLiaise with the internal engineering team to share insights and improve service delivery The Requirements:

Background in Plant, HGV, Automotive, or Agricultural engineering (essential)Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsExperience working with engines and fault-finding tools is advantageousRecognised engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds) are desirableFull UK Driving Licence is essentialHGV licence preferred or willingness to obtain one (training support available)Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently in the field Interaction Recruitment have specialist consultants across the majority of industries within the UK, including but not limited to, Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality.
