Description

Role: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: Stanford-le-Hope

Salary: Competitive - with bonus and overtime

This is a shift based role: 12 hours 6-6 AM & PM

Working 2 Days, 2 Days Off, 3 Nights, 2 Days off, 2 Days, 3 Days off. This then rotates and repeats. this also means that you get every other weekend off

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a well established engineering organisation. This role would suit a hands on electrical engineer with strong fault-finding capability across electrical within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including control circuits, PLCs, motors, and inverter drives, VFD's while working to high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include

Fault-find, maintain, and repair electrical and control circuitsDiagnose faults on PLC controlled systems, motors, and inverter drivesCarry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activitiesRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawingsSupport installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipmentEnsure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company proceduresRoot cause analysis

Skills and Experience

Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role ideally on heavy equipment/plantStrong fault finding skills on electrical and control circuitsExperience with PLCs, motors, and inverter drivesAbility to work from electrical drawings and schematicsGood understanding of electrical safety and industrial standardsNVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Engineering or equivalentExperience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial environmentsWR Engineering are the recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
