Electrical Fitter

Description

My client is looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join an innovative, established business on an ongoing temporary basis based in Sunderland.

This placement will be between 6 to 12 months.

Package -

Standard rate is 17.29 per hour

Overtime rate at 25.94 per hour

Monday to Thursday

08:00 until 16:30

Friday

08:00 until 13:00

25 days holiday increasing year on year

Key Responsibilities -

Install electrical containment systems including cable tray, basket, trunking, and conduit in line with layout drawings and specifications.

Measure, cut, assemble, and securely fit cable tray and conduit systems.

Pull and route electrical cables through containment systems while ensuring cable integrity and correct identification.

Carry out wiring and termination of electrical cables to panels, distribution boards, equipment, and field devices.

Ensure all terminations are completed to a high standard using correct tools, glands, and lugs.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and installation layouts.

Conduct basic testing and continuity checks where required.

Required experience -

Proven experience in electrical installation work on commercial, industrial, or construction projects.

Demonstrable experience installing cable tray and conduit systems.

Experience pulling electrical cables through containment systems.

Strong experience in wiring and terminating electrical cables.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Competence using electrical tools and installation equipment.
