Description

We Are Hiring: Senior Electrical Engineer Automation & Panel Building

The Role:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take full ownership of electrical systems, from design interpretation through to installation, testing, and sign-off. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure our automated production lines operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role also involves mentoring apprentices and providing expert technical guidance across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Read, interpret, and implement electrical blueprints, schematics, and specificationsMachine wiring, panel building, and sensor equipment setupPower-on, debugging, validation, and testing of electrical systemsRedlining and revision control of electrical documentationMaintain Product Bill of Materials and safety sign-off documentationProvide technical escalation support and problem-solving both on-site and at customer locationsOperate tools and equipment including meggers, drill presses, hydraulic benders, and genie liftsTrain and mentor Electrical Apprentices as assignedPerform office wiring and building maintenance when requiredEnsure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and company safety protocolsUndertake any other duties as reasonably requested Essential Experience & Qualifications:

Recognized City & Guilds Electrical Installation qualificationMinimum 2 years post-qualification practical experienceStrong knowledge of blueprint reading and electrical schematicsExtensive experience wiring, troubleshooting, and updating automated production linesCompetent in hand tools including crimpers, soldering irons, and pipe bendersStrong numerical and analytical skills Desirable Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in automotive tooling and integrationLeadership, supervision, and people management experiencePrevious Automotive T1 experienceProven ability to train and mentor others Personal Attributes:

Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skillsCollaborative and effective communicatorEligible to work in the UK with flexibility to travel in Europe and beyondSelf-driven, analytical, and adaptable with a can-do attitudeComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and delivering practical solutions Work Environment:
