Are you an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager with a strong background in plumbing and heating systems, looking to lead projects and help grow a developing mechanical division within a respected building services contractor?

Do you enjoy managing projects from enquiry through to handover, working closely with clients and supply chain partners while ensuring high standards of quality, cost control and delivery?

The company is a well-established M&E that is heading into it's 80th year of trading. Based in Preston, the business delivers high-quality electrical and mechanical services to local authorities, schools, universities, healthcare facilities and other public sector clients.

This role would see the suitable candidate become a senior member of the mechanical department of the business, looking to onboard new business, provide supply chain support, and be responsible for the successful handover of projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Contracts Manager who wants to take ownership of projects, contribute to the growth of a mechanical department, and progress towards senior leadership within a stable and supportive business.

The Role:

Manage mechanical projects from enquiry and tender stage through to installation, commissioning and handoverProvide technical input and commercial feedback during tender processes where requiredPlan and programme work to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgetSource and manage subcontractors across mechanical installationsMonitor project costs, valuations and variations to protect marginsEnsure high standards of quality throughout the installation phaseThe Person:

Experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager, or similar, role within building servicesStrong technical knowledge of mechanical packages, including Plumbing, Heating and Air Source Heat PumpsJob reference: BBBH24389
