Commercial Gas Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing mechanical and electrical building services company covering Kent/South-East.

This is a permanent position carrying out planned and reactive gas and heating works, with a particular focus on commercial boiler servicing, maintenance and breakdowns. The successful Commercial Gas Engineer will be provided with a company van, fuel card, uniform and analyser, alongside opportunities to progress as the business continues to grow.

The Role

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out PPM on commercial heating systemsServicing and repairing commercial boilersDiagnosing and repairing boiler breakdownsCompleting commercial gas installation and repair workCarrying out reactive maintenanceCompleting CP17 commercial gas certificatesDiagnosing faults across gas and heating systemsRecording completed works using a job management systemMaintaining a high standard of workmanshipParticipating in an out-of-hours call-out rota of approximately 1 in 6

The Commercial Gas Engineer will be expected to work independently, diagnose faults effectively and ensure servicing and repair work is completed safely and professionally.

We are looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer with:

Current commercial gas ACS qualificationsAt least 5 years' relevant industry experienceStrong commercial boiler servicing experienceProven boiler breakdown and fault-finding abilityCommercial gas installation and repair experienceGood knowledge of plumbing and heating systemsExperience completing CP17 certificatesWillingness to participate in the 1-in-6 call-out rotaOwn toolsFull UK driving licenceStrong communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage your workloadDomestic gas/heating knowledge would be advantageous but isn't essential

The position would particularly suit a Commercial Gas Engineer who is confident with both planned servicing and reactive breakdowns and is looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing business.
