Description
Role: CNC Machinist
Salary: Up to 37,500 plus overtime
Location: Cheddar
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who is confident working across both manual and CNC machining. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality components, from reading engineering drawings to programming, machining, and assembling precision parts.
Responsibilities include:
Program, write, and edit CNC programs independentlyRead, interpret, and produce engineering drawingsOperate semi-manual and fully manual lathesCarry out precision milling and turning operationsDiagnose, repair, and maintain a range of rotating mechanical componentsEnsure work meets quality, accuracy, and safety standards
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in CNC programming and manual machiningStrong ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience with lathes, milling machines, and general machining operationsSkilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical componentsAttention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach
