Due to the continued growth of their Building Consultancy team, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor to join their established and highly regarded team based in Scotland.

Your new role

As a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor, you will be involved in a diverse range of professional and project-led instruction across a varied property portfolio. This role offers exposure to both traditional building surveying services and high-value project work, providing an excellent variety of career development opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Technical due diligence and pre-acquisition surveysDilapidations advice and negotiations on behalf of landlords and tenantsPlanned preventative maintenance strategies and condition surveysContract administration and project managementRefurbishment, fit-out and asset improvement projectsDefect diagnosis and technical reportingSchedules of condition and reinstatement cost assessmentsBuilding pathology investigationsParty wall matters and neighbourly issuesClient relationship management and business developmentMentoring and supporting junior surveyors within the team

You will work closely with a diverse client base, delivering tailored solutions across both professional and project commissions while contributing to the continued success of the wider business.

What you'll need to succeed

MRICS qualification and Chartered Building Surveyor statusProven experience within a consultancy environmentStrong technical knowledge of professional building surveying servicesExperience managing refurbishment and construction projectsExcellent report-writing and client-facing skillsCommercial awareness and the ability to develop client relationshipsStrong organisational and project management capabilitiesA proactive and collaborative approach to delivering high-quality workA full UK driving licence
