CAD Technician- MEP

My client, a market leading MEP Design Consultancy based in Runcorn is searching for an CAD Technician to join their MEP design team.

This is a hybrid role, offering varied residential, commercial and industrial projects.

As a CAD Technician you will join a bespoke team based in Runcorn and have the chance to work on varied residential, commercial and industrial projects. You will also have the chance to liaise with clients, discuss project progress and help to expand the business.

You will be trained and supported by an experienced team and have the chance to complete electrical, mechanical and public health/plumbing designs for residential, commercial, factories, substations, schools, leisure and retail schemes using AutoCAD.

As a CAD Technician you will be expected to complete mechanical, electrical, public health and plumbing designs using AutoCAD.

You will also be supported to complete;

- Design of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health using AutoCAD.

-Design to BIM level 2 in accordance with British Standards PAS 1192-5

-Create to scale surveys of existing buildings.

-Create feasibility and condition reports for future works and liaise with Contractors, Engineers, Architects and Surveyors for on going projects.

-Run clash detection on designs before process to Architects and field engineers.

-Liaise with Clients to discuss drawings and design issues.

As a CAD Technician you are required to have a HNC/HND or BSc in BIM, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering and ideally have experience working for UK based Consultancy working as a Technician, completing detailed electrical or mechanical or plumbing designs for buildings and commercial developments using AutoCAD.

You are also required to have a detailed knowledge PAS 1192-5 and other relevant codes.

Candidates are required to have a valid UK driving licence to visit sites and live near Runcorn to work from the office three days a week.
